2008——2009 the 1st Term Brief Report II

I. Campus Life：

1.On Sep. 27th, 2008, students from 22 countries form the representative team of International Department and attended the Sports Meeting of Huiwen. Their aims are “higher, faster, stronger”, their purpose is to show “Friendship first, Competition second. 68 students actively took part in the competition, and get place in 41sports events. 1st 1; break the record 1; 2nd 2; 3rd , 5; 4th 8; 5th 3; 6th 4; 7th 8; 8th 10.

2.The second parents for senior III was held on Oct. 17th. During the meeting, principle Jin introduced the new trend of the University Entrance Examination and the teaching arrangement.
3.The Speech Contest of cultural investigation was held on Oct. 24th. The Chinese teachers are act as the the judging panels. Result：1st: YUAN CRISTINA ，2nd : CHO SU JIN、PARK HA LIM、LAI XIN YEE Commemorative Awards：CHEN SHIYA CHANCY 、KIM SO JIN、LEE YEE JI、XIE LI NA、PARK YUN KYUNG。
4.Oct. 13th ,10月31日，the new leaders of the Students’ Union was voted. The election was presided by former vice-chairman WORAPHANIT RUAYRUNGRUANG . Former vice-chairman KWON KYUNG MOON gave the work summary of the Students’ Union. After the speech given by the candidates, the new members of Students’ Union were elected by all teachers and students. They are PARAMAIT VITHAYARUKSUN、POLYCARP IHRA UCHELIOU、LEE YEE JI、CHO YE IN、LEE SI WON、KIM HYUN WOOK、. PARK YUN KYUNG

II. Cultural Investigation：

  It will be really delightful to travel some place if your aim is to do the cultural investigation and chase the spiritual enjoyment. When students from Junior III and Senior I arrived at Shaolin Temple, climbed to the top of the Yuntai mountain, they were so excited. When students from Senior III rush into the sea, they felt they were hugged by mother. 　

  Senior I LAI XIN YEE：I always wonder the color of nature, the sound of nature. The travel to Henan gives me the answer. The Tan Puxia in Yuntai Mountain impressed me most. After this trip, I know the feet created by God are not only for walking but also for climbing. A few pictures on the internet can not show us the real scenery. Only see it by your won eyes, can you realize its beauty.

  Chinese program, XIE LI NA ：In Shanghai, Shanghai museum attracted me most. To me, it’s a magical and marvelous paradise, because we can learn more about ancient history of China there. We also see a lot of handicrafts of Chinese minority nation, which are really interesting. Frankly speaking, we were very tired, but we get more, not only about the knowledge of Chinese history, but also the friendship between each other.

  Senior III, YUAN CRISTINA：Hot weather with warm wind, Hainan did no has any symbol of weather in Oct. Luckily, on the second day after we arrived, we went to the seaside. During this trip, it is the blue and large sea that makes me open my heart and free myself.

 

III. Chinese Reading Club：

  The purpose of Chinese Reading Club is to “Make reading the habit of life and the window to the world.” In this term, we combine the reading notes and the Chinese journal, in other works, students should at least make one piece of extract. The pointed teachers will read it over. Students at higher level can write a review or a recommendation of a good book to instead of the journal. Better articles will be embodied in the students’ writing anthology and showed to the whole students in the meeting.
